Tips for Winning Man of the Match Awards in Be A Pro!

Do you remember playing football when you were really young?

I remember chasing the ball around along with 10 other team mates like flies round s***. (I think the term is 'bunching')

When I first played 'Be A Pro', it reminded me of this.

The key to winning the man of the match in 'Be A Pro' is to have discipline.
It might seem like common sense, but here are simply things you need to ensure to always in contention for man of the match -

1. Stay in position!!! You score is effected massively if you are out of position too long.
You can waste tons of energy sprinting to get back into position so be on the safe side and don't get out of position in the first place.

2. Keep it Simple!!! You get more point for successful passes than you do for keeping hold of the ball for longer so don't try and beat players for the sake of it, pass to an open team mate and earn valuable points for doing so.

3. Don't always try and tackle!!! Especially when in the midfield area, mark and track other players and don't get suckered in to making a tackle unless you are totally confident you will win the ball.

4. Don't always call for the pass!!! You will lose points if you pointlessly call for the ball and there is no chance of getting a pass. Wait till you are within 20 yards without your route being blocked before calling for the ball.

5. Tell your team mates to shoot!!! If they are in a better position, tell them to take the shot on. You'll find most of the time, human players will have a shoot on sight policy anyway so give them permission rather than calling for the ball and losing unnecessary points.

6. Don't always go for the midfield or striking positions!!! You will see loads more of the ball if you go for the 'less glamorous' positions like CB, RB, LB etc. These are the positions that no one likes to play in but you will win more games and win more man of the match awards simply because you will see so much more of the ball when the opposition attacks.

Be A Pro is a great feature of FIFA 08 and one that will still help you in your overall game. If you haven't started playing it regularly, you will get a great understanding of each position which you can carry into your normal online or multi-player games.
