EASY GOALS FROM POOR GOAL KICKS...

We were playing some online recently who 'gave' us two goals.

This happens a lot in FIFA 08 but you have to be 'on the ball' to capitalise. Let me explain...

So many players taking a goal kick play it short to the nearest defender. BIG MISTAKE!

We have lost count of the number of goals we've scored so far by simply sprinting towards the opposition goal and getting in front of the defender to intercept the ball and be left with an easy one on one.

This guy clearly didn't learn his lesson but he is not alone. If you are in the habit of playing the ball short - STOP!

Always play it long and contest it up the field. It matters less when you lose possession 60 yards from goal.
